Here’s a sneak peek into my writing process!

print design
Client: Erin Casey, California
Objective: Create a poster board for use during final interview with the town of Truckee.
Deliverables: PDF for large-scale print.
Notes: This was a fun project. I met with Erin to discuss what she wanted, her goals, and objectives. I pulled the Town of Truckee logo and isolated the train. I created a word cloud using keywords from the job description, Erin’s CV, and our conversations. I combined the train and word cloud to form a “logo” for her presentation. We went back-and-forth to flush out the final design and word smithing. This project was completed on a very tight deadline.
Client: Sasha Spiegel, Chase Realty, California

Deliverables: WordPress site hosted through Elementor. Deliverables included Zoom training and a “how-to” manual for her to use to make website updates.
Notes: I learned about Maddie through a LinkedIn post. She’s a young entrepreneur about to set the world on fire!
training courses
Client: Cin7, Colorado
Objective: Style and grammar tutorial for global writing team
Deliverables: PowerPoint
Notes: I was hired by Cin7 for a technical editing project. We found that the writing team was consistently making the same errors, mostly attributed to the differences between British and American English. So, I wrote and delivered a tutorial on style and American English grammar. The tutorial reduced the number of errors and saved money on technical editing costs.
Client: Graphite, California
Objective: Slack Threads Tutorial
Delivery: PowerPoint
Notes: Graphite uses Slack to communicate among contract writers and editors. While I was working as a contract writer for Graphite, I volunteered to put together this short presentation to improve the use of Slack threads.
personal musings
When I was little, I used to write literally on the walls inside my closet and on the bottom of my desk drawers.
That is where I kept my secrets.
Now, I post on Medium — one of the largest blogging platforms today. I write for publications as well as for myself. Here are a few articles that showcase my writing style … when it’s all about me.

ghostwriting
Here’s my niche: Weaving personal stories into though-provoking self-improvement books and guides.
It’s your story. I help you tell it.
For example:
- Using storying telling to emphasize the importance of financial management in a book teaching women how to build a financial portfolio.
- Using personal anecdotes throughout a guide showing people how to build a personal brand or change careers.
